I like it, though the fact that there is a sheet of paper in the typewriter indicates to me that the writer hasn't given up on it yet. And I don't think that a writer is failed until he gives up. I don't know how you would indicate a failure, but it looks like you've been given some good ideas already.

That's great I mean, really... Extremely convincing. If there's anything that I have a problem with it's that there's no irony... or... anything like that, as there are in many of your photos. So perhaps some striking words on the typewriter... or... As somebody else suggested tilting it at an angle, etc... Just to make things a bit more intriguing, so you have to look at the picture longer to understand it. But if it suits you, then it's fine.

Beautiful.

You always come up with such great concepts. I can totally relate to this, although maybe not so much as a writer but I've stared at blank screens for days waiting for inspiration. I love the lighting and the props. I notice that there is something typed on the page but I can't make it out, could you enlighten us?!

I'm always pleased to see a new piece from you, can't wait for the next one.

i'm a writer - but not failed - but i can oh so relate to this image - i love that its a typewriter and not a PC - that really makes it for me. the balled up paper and caffeine cans are fabulous touches and the chinese food showing you hve no time for anything but to work on this yet still can't get anywhere

I really love the concept. The balled up paper and the bottles catch my eye. The typewriter. I especially like the addition of the prints and the chinese food carton. Very bachelor-esque.

Most of the time I feel that when I write, which is why I've given up forcing myself to write and I just let it come to me when it feels like it. According to most professional writers, that's a bad thing. But I don't intend on being published, ever. So I do it my way. Hehe.

Ok. . .good idea. . except I would have done a close up from maybe a weird front/side angle of the typewriter keys. . .and all of that other debris seen in the background.. .maybe a stain or two on the keys themselves. . ketchup? some crumbs? there ought to be at least a start of a sentence up there. . . . something that does not make much sense. . .some wannabe witty beginning. . . . It just looks a bit too clean centered like this. . .for such a frustrating moment.
