Description a little bit of Magritte, a little bit of cross processing... and no digital manipulation at all, as usual...

but the scanner seems to destroy the image and colors a little.. hmm... I will look into that....

-eyes- Alright, I got the apple on a string thing....but what about the arms? and hands? Those don't look very feminine at all....or are the breasts prosthetics?

how did you hook up the apple without digital manips? i'm always so impressed with you...and that little bit of magritte was always one of my favorites. nicely done.

well I hung it with fishing line, but let me tell you a secret... the fishing line was a little visible so I spot toned it... which means I took a very small bruch and special black paint and painted over the print where the fishing line was visible...

well I hung the apple with a fishing string then spot toned it on the paper so it didnt appear... it is quite basic you know, maybe a little magic...

I LOVE THIS!! great play on the painting and the central idea..and i agree with what previous commenters said (the way the apple looks like it's the whole picture) and like the bold sense of color and how u manipulated the original painting into a wholly different idea..tis beautiful in a strange sense!

I like it. I take it the message is somewhat similar to the original apple and bowler hat piece? That women are seen as faceless (in a manner of speaking) sex objects? Or am I misinterpreting entirely?

meaning to say the same message except now directed at the modern emphasis on female sexuality rather than the faceless working bee...

Oooh... Are we now allowed to comment on Ija's stuff? I assume so... Well, that's good... Recently I have been ignoring your stuff, due to your abscense and stuff... But... no longer!

In any case, this is marvelous... The colors are so brilliant... they're probably the strongest part of the image. The apple for the face I don't completely understand, but it does make the image different, original, and enticing. Another successful image from Ija... By the way, your insignia/signiture is great.

interesting take on this...
it's almost... funny. i'm not quite sure why, but i can't help but grin when i see this. it almost makes me want to laugh a little.
it's good though, you executed it well and it's apparent that you didn't just get an idea and rush through it, but were careful with each step along the way. the color is definitely eye-catching and yet not absurd and overpowering like so many photos on DA that try to grab you with bold colors. you did a real nice job with this.
shame about the scanner though...
