I can be serious too. LOOK I DREW A REAL HUMAN HAND HOLY CRAPJust to show people that I can draw things other than anthro, anime, etc. artwork, have a taste of my real life sketches. It's not top notch. It's not the best thing in the world. I'd love for you guys to tell me how to make something like this better in the future. Tutorials, links, comments, videos I can watch, etc. But please be nice about it. Constructive criticism = something I can use to be better, not "knock my self esteem down because you think I suck and here's a list why". That's not how people learn. If you ever did that, that's not very cool, bro. No. Dude, seriously, don't do that.
Anyway, hope you enjoy this little side-piece I've done. I'm not an expert on anatomy (never taken a class on it, and I really don't care to, I've no interest in it), but I do care about delivering a good quality picture to either impress or get my message across. So tell me what more I can do for next time. Thank you.

No matter how hard I try to draw human hands, or anything realistic, it looks cartoonish.

Thank you so much, dear friend~! Please don't give up though - trust me, I've been drawing cartoony style for all my art thus far, so I know how hard it is to break that. This took all my power to not make it look that way! ^_^; Just remember, not everyone can be good at all kinds of art; that's why we have fortes and specializations! There's always something for everybody!

The best advice I can offer is just to continue studying and practicing. Draw things from real life and learn trick for proportions, take prominent features and exaggerate them, etc. You've already got this down really well, I love the shading of the lines in the palm so much!

Thanks so much, dear friend, it really helps to know that I'm doing something right. >w< I will take this advice, roll it into a ball and eat it, so I can digest its nutritious goodness for next time! I just hope I can get better after this and learn from any mistakes I may or may not have made here. I've got 2 others that I'm tempted to post like this, but this one is my favorite of the three. ^_^;
