Description
Me as Starscream at Botcon 2011 in Pasadena.Body made with foamcore, pvc pipe, various other doodads, magic. I feel the costume was a huge success since Starscream has such an odd dorito-like shape to him. I moved around a bit, but honestly I can't see out of him much, so I needed a handler to move about.
Sorry to all the kids I scared cuz I was too big... XD

When I was at my last con, small children liked my Starscream. But they ran from me in fear. Understandable, for I was a 7 ft. Megatron, but again, Starscream...
Starscream: "Ah, lord Megatron, the earth children seem to flock to me as they cower from you!"
Megatron: "Excellent, Starscream, we shall use your non-threatening and immature demeanor to lure in the youth of this pathetic planet! By controlling the minds of the young we will be able to amass a diabolical army of adolescent fleshlings that will harvest the energy willingly from their own homeworld! Nyuu-huu-ha-ha-haa!"

I don't know if it's the red, white, and blue colors, or what, but kids always seem to like Starscream...maybe also because he's often smirking instead of glowering or growling. ha ha hahahah.

Time, patience, a sense of 3 dimensional sculpting out of foamboards, and some magic is all you need.
A good paintjob helps too.
