It's funny how quickly the arrogant newer appliances who touted the fact they were cutting edge were so quickly outmoded and deemed obsolete, and therefore undesirable. While the main characters, despite their old age, are still perfectly desirable today because they're retro, because they've lasted so long and they're reliable. The way they made the film was good in showing how change, progress never stops. What's in today will be junk tomorrow. They will become...'worthless.'
