Saw it on the contest page. I like it. It's simple and strong. The watermark does not distract. Well done. (Hurray for the Gimp.)

Thank you very much for your feeback Steve! I'm glad you like it!
Yes, Gimp on Linux, my tool of choise. Although I use it only for little improvements. Referring to my works, I'm no fan of huge manipulations.

Kubuntu here.
I shoot film. I develop my own black and white then scan the negatives and work them up in the Gimp. It's my digital darkroom.

Well then you deserve my full respect!
I started 1 1/2 years ago with photography so I missed the analog goodies but in future I'm going to reactivate my dad's old Praktica to learn more about the roots of photography.

I started getting serious about photography in 2007 and bought a Canon Rebel XTi DSLR, a perfectly fine camera. Then my dad gave me his old cameras. I wanted to put his Welta Weltur back in service.
Then my sister in law gave me her Yashica-D and I was hooked. Finally gave my son my DSLR because it was gathering dust.

Sweet. Put some Ilford film in there and go play.
My Epson V500 flatbed does very well with my 35mm and 120. I think the V700 may have a wider transparency tray. My wet darkroom should be up and running by year's end.

Yes it's very handy.
So you'll have your own darkroom, nice. I wish you much fun developing your photos.

admit it, you set noise reduction to max
It's a fantastic capture actually!
Took me some time to figure out its a venetian blind, the shadows on the slats gave it away in the end
Cheers
