Playable Factions:

Mlima
Mlima is, allegedly, the eldest of the prides, according to the stories. Whether it’s true or not is up for debate.. It was founded by the late king, Hodari. The pride is large and friendly and is situated in a large, lush valley. A paradise. The valley is well protected for it is surrounded by a large ring of mountains. There are, of course, many ways in and out of those mountains but the main one is a pass that leads to outside the valley.
Mlima is currently ruled by King Uwezo
The current heir is TBD.

Ustamilivu
Ustamilivu was formed when two refugees to Mlima from Nguvu decided to branch out and start their own pride. This pride was Ustamilivu. The territory of Ustamilivu is covered by rocks, mountains, and fields upon fields of dry grass. A small crystal-clear river meanders through the lands.
The pride is led by the Mtemi, Sibusiso .
The current Kabtanka is Jagunjagun .

Nguvu
The true eldest pride, Nguvu is a war-orientated group known far and wide for their battle prowess and ferocity. The territory of Nguvu is rocky and borderline barren, a hardy environment for hardy characters. After a failed attempt at conquering Mlima, Nguvu entered a rocky alliance with Mlima and Ustamilivu. A recent uprising in the pride, however, threatens this alliance. The newest king, Hisada, shows clear contempt for his allies.
The current king of Nguvu is Hisada.
The current heir is N/A.
Rogues are free to adventure anywhere their heart desires, but not all groups are welcoming.

Non Playable Factions:

Msitu

Msitu is a secretive pride that lives in underground caverns and is mostly nocturnal. Little is known about the pride, and many have debated the pride’s existence as they are rarely seen outside the thick jungles that surround their kingdom. They share their home with leopards, which they share an unwavering bond with. The entrances to the caverns are also hidden, those messengers and rogues claiming to enter Msitu lands have spoken of being blindfolded before they make the journey to the heart of their territory.
The current Kuhani of Msitu are Takatifu and Usiku.

Jangwa
Jangwa is a nomadic pride that calls the deserts south of Mlima home. They don't tend to stay in one place for very long as they like to avoid sandstorms.
The current Elder of Jangwa is Kura.

Kwamani
Kwamani is a strong and boastful pride that thrives on order and routine. Their laws are strict and controlling, aimed to keep their lands and subjects in check. The pride is large, perhaps one of the largest, and has smaller outposts dotted around their territory.
The current leader of Kwamani is King Ikirenga.

Moto
A large hyena clan that lives around the base of a large, active volcano located east of Mlima. Many hyenas found here are descended from those that survived a war with Mlima. They have forgiven, but have not forgotten.
The current Matriarch is Amayi.

Ibutho Empire
The Ibutho Empire is a giant pride made up of multiple smaller ones that were once dotted around the North Eastern regions of the continent of Ikaya. Its leader is charismatic, intelligent, and a ruthless tyrant who desires to unite the lands under one banner, his. He is expanding his lands to the west, with plans to move further south once his conquest of the west is complete. Ibutho is virtually unheard of by its southern neighbours, though some rogues may have fled Ibutho after their birth pride was forcibly taken over.
The current leader of the Ibutho Empire is Caesar.

Varna
Varna is believed to be a guild of skilled artisans and bards, for many here show a love for song, entertainment, and beautifully crafted things. But there is a much darker side. Varna is a guild of skilled assassins, many are familiar with the art of poison-making and traps. Varna citizens have a close relationship with crows, as they act as lookouts for their assassins. Kwamani regularly makes use of their services.
The current leader of Varna is Guildmaster Olori.
