Ikaya is the name of this little continent and its islands, and what the characters that live here call the known world.

Baridi Kaskazani
Also known as the "Cold North". Aptly named as it's the farthest north, and is very cold. This area is vastly unexplored and nobody knows what's up here, apart from the occasional bird talking about giant lions with thick, shaggy manes and thick, fluffy coats. Perhaps one day, someone might adventure this far.

Viele Vilivyoganda
Named "frozen peaks" because for most of the year, they are covered in ice and snow. This mountain range reaches high into the sky and the air up here is quite thin. Nothing lives up here apart from some mountain goats, some birds, and a few rabbits...

Unknown Regions
A vast grassland that's fairly unoccupied apart from some small nomadic prides. However, there is one faction here that dominates the Eastern corner of the Unknown Regions, a giant pride called the "Ibutho Empire." Their constant expansion has driven most permanent prides away, forcing them to move further west or south in the hopes of avoiding assimilation. Some have gone to Nguvu in the hopes of protection. If these regions have a name, nobody knows it so most refer to it as the "Unknown Regions".

Huzuni Plains:
A rocky, barren landscape with sparse vegetation. It is here where you will find the Ustamilivu and Nguvu prides.

Bonde
Known as "The Valley" by those that live there, Bonde is home to the Mlima pride. It is a lush paradise with plenty of food and water for everyone. It is also protected by a mountain range that practically encircles it.

Kowa Plain
A vast field of ash and burnt trees, this is the home of the Moto clan. There is an active volcano in the middle of Kowa Plain and the Moto clan call it home.

Kijani Jungle
A dense jungle with a large cave system beneath it. The jungle was once home to a troop of chimpanzees but they are long gone. Now the Msitu pride lives there.

Kambuku Isle
A strange island, hardly explored by anyone from the mainland. According to birds that visit the Isle, there are strange cats that live there. They look like lions and leopards but also do not. The cats that live there are fiercely protective of their home and many who have tried to see just what or who lives there have never returned. To get to Kambuku Isle, you must cross a land bridge that forms only twice per day when the tide is out.

Mchanga wa Kusini
This place is also known as the "Southern Sands" and it is a vast desert that sprawls the southern coast of Ikaya. There is hardly any vegetation here, but there is a small river that meanders through. The river is the only available water source here. Here you can find the nomadic pride, Jangwa, and the traditional pride of Kwamani. The Southern Sands also has a strange rumor, at the mouth of a river is a cove with "dens" carved into the cliffs. Supposedly a sea witch lives in these caves, the last descendent of a sea-faring pride of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. The witch supposedly chases off any who try to make a home here. But it's just a rumor, right?

Marshariki Isle
The Eastern Isle, home to the Varna pride. Little is known about the Isle or the pride, just that Kwamarni has regular dealings with them and their influence is slowly starting to spread to the mainland.

Tumbili Isle
Home to a large group of monkeys and apes, they've built a sprawling village made from trees and vines. They use rafts, made from logs tied together with vines, to cross the water between Tumbili and Marshariki. They often trade with Varna and offer exotic plants for their poison-making.

Information on these regions is basic for now, but more could be added as the story evolves.
