I can't say for sure; but I assume it will be like commissions where you can convert the points earned to cash.

The possibles are endless for me.Aside from making comics motion or no-motion,you could also make little movies and stuff.I was thinking of animated music videos or homages to those 60's Marvel cartoons.

so a Motion Book is like a book that moves and you can read it? (still confused about it)

BenWolstenholme In reply to mayuralover [2014-07-11 00:18:02 +0000 UTC]
That's a great way of describing it - it is a 'Book that moves' - each page is a small sequence. We think of it as a BOOK because you control the pace as you read it. Motion Comics are a different thing as they are videos
Here's a Motion Book example i've been working on - love to know what you think?

it's a "motion comic" if you've ever heard that term.
like comic book pages, with elements that move. or don't move, but have effects like word bubbles that appear in order, etc. a lot like reading a comic book/graphic novel on a kindle.

BenWolstenholme In reply to Bloodsong13T [2014-07-11 00:18:42 +0000 UTC]
absolutely. Sometimes the term Motion COMIC can be confusing as it often stands for a video - but hey you've described it perfectly!

TheRealmDweller In reply to mayuralover [2014-07-10 19:39:09 +0000 UTC]
The best way i can figure to describe it is as: Moving, but not "animated" imagery - mostly using layers of still-framed images (or slides) stacked to provide a sense of depth and implied motion.

And I noticed other people have been mentioning that there's something in the Terms of Service that claims ownership of stories and characters? Would that become a problem if one were to use a particular story to publish later on?

a slight concern:
it says that Madefire will be able to
-Publish deviations on your behalf
-Access, use and manage your Sta.sh
Does this mean that Madefire will be rearranging my sta.sh and uploading art, even if I didn't want it to?

Katy-L-Wood In reply to cookiejoyful [2014-07-10 18:37:49 +0000 UTC]
No, they won't. Those things just allow the tool to be able to upload your motion book to your sta.sh so that you can publish it on deviantART.
