Taken during the January 2014 Polar Vortex that hit the Midwest U.S.. of which, the state I live in is considered the "crossroads" of the Nation.. in St. Charles/St. Louis, Missouri.. 17 degrees Fahrenheit, yet 20 mile per hour winds, and wind chills of only 2 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thank you.. it was a nice view, considering, I was unable to go outdoors.. We were literally frozen into our homes.. Many times this past winter.. So many days of temperatures at zero degrees, or barely above zero.. and many subzero temperatures as well.. with wind-chills at 40F degrees below zero.. and lot's and lot's of snow.. and ice.. I was starting to get claustrophobic.. and so I opened my windows, and would simply let the outdoors.. in.. through the window..
