I really like the concept, I just think there is way too much variation in the implementation. You have three different kinds of "bullets" and 5 different colours of font and 4 box colours.If you simplified the variants, I think you would have a real winner.
Also, this is just personal opinion, the logo for fine art tv has a sense of space and and simplicity. I think it would be reflected better if there were more space between the text and the individual boxes to reflect this in the overall design.

I truly appreciate the notes, and believe me I'm all for simplicity but as I mentioned in the comments that it was modeled after their website . And usually the client gets what the client wants

no not as yet unfortunately. My internet connection at my apartment doesn't allow me to connect to dA chat anyway though. I can only get into chat back home, in the summer. Maybe we can start one?

The simplicity is striking, and the brown really works well.
I was just thinking, is it possible to code a menu to open up a new window with a new flash or CSS page on it?

Not an entirely new page no... That i think is ou of the realms of the CSS dA lets up play with. However you can do something like the flyout text I have when hovering over an image. Only it doesn't have to be an image. It can be anything you wrap that specific tag around.
