The truth of the matter is that the Judge is much more than a simple split personality. In Ilchymis' world, gods and spirits are very real, and at times interact with the mortal planes. Two in particular exist on the mortal realm inside chosen vessels. Those two are Kal'utek the Hand of Balance, and Rajaion the Hand of Judgment. Ilchymis is the unwitting host to Rajaion, and his immense well of power stems from his connection to the god.

When in control of Ilchymis' body, Rajaion simply refers to himself as "The Judge" to avoid influencing the behavior of mortals who interact with him. Even Ilchymis remains ignorant of who and what The Judge really is. Ilchymis knows only that there is a voice which sometimes calls to him, and a presence and will that is not his own.

Rajaion does not appear outside of Ilchymis' body at any time on the mortal plane. Only those who can see spirits, or under very specific and rare circumstances, will ever see Rajaion's true self. All others will see only Ilchymis bearing Rajaion's markings upon his skin. The connection between them is such that if Rajaion were ever to leave his body, Ilchymis would die. Rajaion will go to great lengths to preserve Ilchymis' life and well-being, even going so far as to abandon others to death if saving them meant to risk Ilchymis.

As the Hand of Judgment, Rajaion's entire existence is built around the purpose of judging a mortal’s worth and, if necessary, dispensing punishment appropriate to their transgressions. He is devoid of nearly all emotion in order to prevent bias, and if spoken to, ignores social customs of mortals (this means will come off extremely blunt and straightforward about judging someone). He is incapable of feeling remorse, anger, hatred, sympathy, or any other complex emotion. He is unable to feel desire, in regard to anything; he cannot "want" something. He does understand the concepts of trust and deceit, and knows when you're being honest or dishonest. He understands the ideas of mercy and forgiveness, but is not always willing (or able) to give them.

Back in his home world, his wrath is tempered only by his counterpart, Balance. Without Balance to keep him in check in Hetherev, his power could potentially run rampant, or even corrupt his very being.
Of course, in Hetherev, Rajaion's power is not as absolute as it was back in his own universe (something the god is having trouble adjusting to) and this can lead to precarious situations in which Ilchymis is put at greater risk in battle.
