Shot @ Cascade Saddle Track, Aspiring National Park, New Zealand.This is me sitting there. About a 2-4 hour, very steep climb from the hut down below. The view was magnificent in both directions. The peak you see is Mt. Aspiring.
This was my favorite track in New Zealand. The hardest, but the most rewarding.
Oh and yes, nothing but air below me!

Yes, the weather, the view... everything was quite spectacular on that day, and with that rock being there, I just couldn't resist and *had* to shoot this.

unfortunetely not! by that, i meant the general view down into a valley from high above
but i'd love to go to NZ one day. my best friend was in nelson for one year and she told me it's the most beautiful country

Nelson is a very nice place to hang out for a year. It has the most sunshine hours per year in whole New Zealand...

Thanks! Hard, yes, but I was hardened too from all previous tracks that I did 
They say the Cascade Saddle track is the hardest one can do in NZ without alpine gear...

Dangerous, adventurous...
When you consider the climbing/jumping over rocks and cliffs with a heavy backpack, then this is quite a break from all the danger

For a while I thought it could be Switzerland... The landscape is so similar to many places here!
Well, seeing a person on those rocks, suspended in the air, took my breath away. Oh, I can imagine how rewarding it must be to get such a beautiful view, and from such a peculiar place!

The walk was the best in my life
I wasn't scared to sit there, but it was exciting! Of course what you don't see on the picture, is my 15kg backpack which I had to take all the way up with me
