This is the scene from Ootp when Harry managed to hit Snape with the Legilimens spell and got a glimpse of a few not too happy childhood memories of him.Requested art for sine_que_non767 .

No it didn't, Harry got into Snape's pensive, not into his head, Harry isn't powerful enough anyways to get through Snape's mental wards. It didn't happen like that.

Ya it did happen, Harry used a stinging spell I believe which caused Harry to accidentally break into Snapes mind, which is where those memories come from. Later Harry went into the pensive and saw the memory from Snapes 5th year during the OWLS

It was a shield charm, or Protego, which can have the effect of rebounding the originator's spell back to him. Harry, not on purpose, Ligilimens'd Snape.

LOVE THE ARTWORK! The only problem I see is a common one: Many people don't realize that the scrawny kid in Snape's memories is actually Harry in the first book, as Snape tries to save him.

"a girl was laughing as a scrawny boy tried to mount a bucking broomstick -" Does this scene fit in the first book? When Harry's broom was jinxed no one laughed, I think. More than that, Harry would have recognize himself in quidditch gear, IMHO... But it's up to the reader, probably.

Well, we all known that Malfoy was sneering and sort of laughing at the display, and in the mist of all the commotion, someone could have laughed. Plus, sometimes the writer just gives a sort despirtion and Jo didn't mention Harry recognizing himself because of how quick the memory was. Snape was never descibed as scrawny.
