just like a ghost, standing in the corner, making no noise, just staring ... utterly creepy, but with great lighting.

I love her face, and the lighting. I saw your gallery, and I wanted to say to you that I love your style, the way you paint, it's really beautiful. Do you use Photoshop, or another software? Anyway, I would like to paint like you, so much, it would be a dream ^^

such a beautiful study, and the lighting is wonderful
mind me asking,do you pick the values from the beginning like this, or do you render the light source after?

thank you! to answer your question, i tend to paint in a rather chaotic manner, where i basically make everything up as i go along, and constantly make changes, until i arrive at a result i can live with not sure if that's a method i would recommend though..

thank you for replying me so soon!
we all have our own way of doing it, so whatever works for us. so for the lighting would you start with a black and white values? or use photoshop filters to render it? or perhaps the dodge?

I don't really use filters or dodge/burn. I guess i kind of see them as bad shortcuts instead of learning proper value and color theory. Painting in grayscale is great for learning values, and sometimes i start paintings in grayscale and then paint color on top. I try to mix it up

I like how loose this is, especially the hair. And the colour is gorgeous, really serene.
