Description This was another entry into the "Forces of Evil" contest of an evil sorceress oblivious to the fact that she's in over her head...

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Nice picture, really... But where is her right leg? Is it me, or did you forget it?

No, she's a CG model, you'd have to specifically delete the leg. It's there, just hidden by the loin cloth.

Fantastic work Yah those sorceresses do tend to overlook the obvious... scant outfit, summoning by one's lonesome, summoning a tentacle beastie... oh yah, all manner of hilarity is about to ensue

Cthulhu also does collect calls! I am actually working on a Cthulhu based render, gonna be a while till I get it done. I have till 2012 though for my deadline on it.

Awesome work. And you are right bickmack61....

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."

Whenever I see an artistic contribution to Lovecraft's mythos, I always end up asking myself "What would Howard think of this?" As if I'm in a place to know, right? Still, it's a fiercely done piece. Even my fear of heights was assaulted. And I'm pretty damned sure he'd dig it.

I do believe that not knowing you're in over your head was one of Lovecraft's major themes. I love your work and wish I had half your talent.

Thank you! Lovecraft was a big influence on me from a fairly young age...and that theme of "you don't really have a clue what you're messing with" has stuck with me.

Indeed, I always enjoyed Lovecraft, I think you do him justice.
