Naval corvettes patrolling the system are the last chance to stop smugglers from taking valuable, and potentially dangerous, alien artifacts offworld before scientists and the military have a chance to examine them and make sure they are safe. I like the idea of a small ships crew guarding alien artifacts. Maybe they have to go down to the planet and help a sanctioned archeologist protect his dig sight. Then maybe the bad guys get away with one of the artifacts or the beautiful young assistant...(Man I am so stealing this idea for my Star Frontiers game this Friday night.)

Awesome image! I don't even know where to begin on this one. First, I'm digging the chair and I how you put Derrickson's Landing in the center of the tactical screen. I'm guessing that the star on the right is the star (with 5 planets) and the sphere below it is the gas giant that Derrickson's Landing circles. I'm also guessing that the screen on the left might be a planetary map depicting various settlements of some sort. The hologram to the right is also cool but I'm a little confused about the tri-ringed thing on the left. Perhaps a meteor of some sort?
