Description This is an example of a typical Terran Protectorate Bridge layout. This one is specifically a Stalwart Heavy Cruiser during the first Great War between the Terran Protectorate and the Imperial Consortium. While the Stalwarts are now the main law enforcement vessel for the Guardsmen Interstellar Security Service, they started out as the ship-of-the-line for the Protectorate decades ago.

I take from a lot of different inspirations for the design look of these. Obviously, there's the classic Star Trek influence with the command chair, but I use far more military colors and design aspects, make the stations separate, give it a more kinetic feeling helm, so that there's more a feeling of the vessel being piloted, esp. in combat and during heavy maneuvering. The pilot is even wearing riding style gloves to relay the feeling he's about to do some serious flying.
The sensor board which is just off screen, but you can see the guy looking up at it, is very anime-inspired. It's one of those big wall "threat boards." Tactical is actually kind of a gunnery chair, like you'd see in some kind of high-tech turret, but placed on the bridge, again giving the bridge space a more "kinetic" feel when the action starts. Also, because fighters play a big role in this, and I like the "conversation" area it creates, there's a big map table in the back of the room, behind the XO, who's standing next to the captain. That was inspired by countless submarine dramas and Battlestar Galactica. It allows characters to huddle around this upward lightsource that gives their faces a dramatic effect when making plans to take on dire and nigh-impossible objectives.
I try to strike a balance between function, visual cues (most people immediately recognize that guy in the chair as captain of a sci-fi ship without having to be told) and things that complement story telling elements.

Great work, brotherman; this looks like it could be part of any sci-fi movie, TV series, novel, or video game.

Nice, is that Antares pilot station I see? And maybe some Nightshift 3D?  Great kitbash.

Good eye, and a bit of cofleg-norg, too.

I love this piece! Gives a nice feel.

Now, it might just be my device or my viewing. However, I see a lot of markings on each of the characters. For a second I actually thought this crew had been infected with Corruption.

Since nobody else has noticed it, I'm inclined to think it's me...

It's the comic book inking filter. I have to fiddle with it for the right look. Also, you're probably seeing them on the tactical officer on the far side because she has a screen with markings in front of her face and they are casting shadows on her. It's mainly on the girl in the lower bottom corner, right?

Honestly, she was the first one I saw it on. However, I noticed it on all of them.

I don't think the standing blonde has any, but all the rest do.

I think that's the comic book finish. It could be corruption, though.

New art! Looks good. Is this part of your comic stuff, or did you just want that finish?

I assume the pilot's feet aren't just on rests, but those are another control item.

Yes, part of comic stuff. I had put it on the back burner for a long time. The pilot's feet are on pedals that control the yaw.
