damn, i seem to have created a fairy-tale atmosphere.
made for a contest hosted by with the theme "a princess with a secret"

This is no ordinary princess, and extraordinary princesses don't come with ordinary secrets.
Promise not to tell? Whenever she's alone, she runs, runs down the alleyways, as far as she can from her palace walls. She takes a brush and dips it into her unteeth can of thick, black paint, then smears and splashes it on the city with all her might. Perhaps it's sadness, perhaps it's a spell, but she can't stop. Painting all her city's walls black, ruining her clothes with each satisfying splatter.
