Description
wheezes I almost bit off more than I could chew with this one, but it's done! I usually don't do backgrounds at all if I can avoid them, but I wanted to challenge myself to do one as detailed as I'm capable of doing. This thing clocked in somewhere between 20 and 30 hours, but I'm really proud of how it turned out.

The shadows ended up obscuring a lot of the detail that I put into the background, so check out the uncolored version here , along with a few detail shots.

Thanks to Veskasa for letting me use their perfaunt, Lucian, for this! He just made too perfect a match to this little ghosty guy, with the same eyes and complimentary glow color. I know it's not canon, but I sort of like the idea that those inverted eye colors make it easier to see in near dark than in bright daylight, so the ghost pearl tends to keep to a nocturnal schedule... but they're still just a kid, so they get sad and lonely when everyone they try to play with runs away from them thinking they're a monster.

I've been wanting to join in the ARPG for about a year now (preferably with a perfaunt, since they've been my favorites since they were introduced), and the lore of orphaned pearls living in the Parfumez ruins with Fauntina really tickled me, so fingers crossed!

Edit 11/7/17: Oh shit I actually won! Wow :'D I was holding myself back from thinking more about a character for this little guy since I didn't think I'd end up with them, but I'm so excited to go do that now.
