These are very nice references. Do the shades you use for the mountains represent the different kind of rock composition a mountain can be?

Thanks ! Hm, not really, it's a shading/texturing. That mountain isn't flat and is far away from our view, many shades appear from the emboss. (Sorry it's hard, for me, to explain it in english) But your point of view is also good and can also explain it. However it'll be represent by many tint of colors, not shade of the base color, but we need to be closer from the mountain. (
