Another deviation from my previous gallery added here. One of the few that i really like. My husband is the commissar on the photo. taken in October 2008 for an SDCosplay photoshoot.Legal jargon:

Incredible work on both costumes. You are both clearly dedicated fans. It's also rare for two good-looking people to be so into something so "nerdy," and a married couple to boot. Good for you guys. I used to go to I-CON at SUNY Stonybrook every year (couldn't the past three, moved to a unit in Germany, then deployed to Afghanistan), and went to Philly DragonCon and Otacon a couple times. I always went with a particular close friend of mine, and we used to walk around and wonder why we were two of the few "normal-looking" people there. We were into the same nerdy, awesome shit that everybody else was - pen & paper RPGs, comic books, sci-fi movies, video games, action figures, etc - but we know how to dress and have good skin and clean hair. Why are there so few of us? Or maybe it's just that mostly only the weirdos who go to the cons? Maybe I'm just a judgmental asshole. That's probably the one.

Did your husband create the costume from scratch? It is a very nice cosplay. The purity seal is a nice touch. The lasguns are SWEET!!!

Yep, everything is totally from scratch in the weapons part of things. My dress was originally a cream colored dickies dress that i heavily modified and dyed. The greatcoat is an actual German military coat, also heavily modified, and the tunic was a marine dress shirt, also extremely modified. lol, lots of work went in to these as you can imagine. My fingers were dyed black for a week. >_<
