Oh my gosh. I absolutely LOVE #5, but I have no idea how to do textures... The best I can do are gradients...

Well, I use Gimp's option for Foreground to Transparency Gradients and I put the texture 1 layer underneath the pony. Then, I export that image, open it again in Gimp, and make the background transparent. c:

Ah, I see! I think I got it to work... I did the Foreground Transparency thing like you said, drew a random mane on a base as a test, made the background transparent in Paint, then opened it on a layer above the texture layer. Although, then I would have to erase the part of the texture not in the mane...

Just leave a fill color around the pony when you do the transparency thing. It saves you from having to erase the texture and stuff. xP
