Was watching my boyfriend playing Command and Conquer and suddenly thought of this. Ron seems to put his gaming skills to good use eh?Seriously, what's so fun about Command and Conquer?

in my oppinions command & conquer has the best game story out there for the tiberium saga that is, and i is my favorite game ever I've played it since i was a young child, but if your not a strategy game peroson

Commanding, conquering, and trolling your enemy with a massive infantry rush that no one can stop, that's what makes it fun.

Yeah, but an Infantry rush becomes utterly useless if you have a well placed Flame Tank.

Command and Conquer is one the most known RTS games out there. IT started in 1996 when Westwood Studios made one of their first games; Command and Conquer (most commonly known as Tiberian Dawn). The Command and Conquer community still lives with the classic titles, such as Red Alert, and Tiberian Sun. Red Alert 3, Uprising, Kane's Wrath and Tiberian Twilight are on steam for $20. Tiberium Wars, though, is $30 and you need Tiberium Wars for Kane's Wrath. I hope you learned something

I'll tell u what so fun. the guys who make command and conquer(westwood NOT ea games), were the creators of RTS games! why without them there will be no cnc, warcraft, starcraft etc.

Command & Conquer set the standard for what a strategy game should have and what an RTS genre should uphold: a solid economy, balance in units, and established structures, coupled alongside a believable and gripping narrative, and combined with visually-pleasing cutscenes
in 1995, Westwood got it right with Tiberian Dawn
in 1999, they did even better with Tiberian Sun
as of recent times, EA has debunked their work by bastardizing the series by releasing C&C 3, which destroyed the narrative and threw out the cutscenes

Yeah C&C is a very good gaming franchise. But EA did put back cutscenes into the game in Red Alert 3 and Red Alert 3 Uprising.

its good online you get to test your mind against somone else which makes winning all the sweeter

It is a war-themed strategy game similar to chess. Teaches you resource management to the Nth degree!
It teaches you environmental protection too, where units can be recycled for more cash to make more things.

While me, a girl, have never played this game personally, I would not say girls don't play C&C anymore than I'd say Girls don't like Science Fiction, which is a big fat wrong. My entire family is made up of both gamers (sort of.) And SF and F fans. The reason I've never played C and C is because I never heard of it. So I would think before making such sweeping judgement, thank you.

What's so fun about C&C?
You can blow things up.
You can whoop GDI's ass!
Build huge bases.
It also has a really good storyline (at least until EA rushed it)
The list goes on.
(Oh, and it has a fun map editor to play with)
