Description
Edwin Foxwarder (or Roger Fox, I didn't decide how to call him in this universe) is posing in front of his car. I based this car's colour on my Bandit car in Borderlands 2. Well, the setting itself is quite Borderland-ish.It should be a quick sketch to practice the new way of shading/lighting, but I drew it really slow. I know there can be some mistakes etc. but I'll let them all be. It's still a sketch for me (and I'll put it into the "Sketches" folder anyway). At least it has something like a background.

But actually there's a reason for him being called Roger E. Fox or Edwin Foxwarder and not in any other way; so, calling him Edwin R. Fox will require rewriting of his whole background story, I'm not sure, I'm ready for this

Wow this looks awesome, I hope that someday I can make my stuff look half this cool.
Excellent work on the background, it definitely has that dytopian vibe like borderlands or Mad Max; I also really like the car, it's really well detailed and looks like a perfect fit for the surroundings.
Roger has fantastic detail here and everything from the shading to the camouflage to the accessories looks really well done. I also really dig the pose and the goggles as well.
The uniform colors are a good choice too, and I'm digging the uniform colors of tan with black and then the vehicle behind him sorta matching by being orange with black.
I also really dig the front facing perspective, those can be tough to get right sometimes but I'd say you nailed it here.
I think I'm going to favorite this as I definitely want to return to this sometime in the future for reference; it just looks so badass.

Mad Max was my second inspiration for this drawing (the first one is Borderlands, obviously). I'm glad I could draw the car nicely, I missed vehicles drawing and finally I had the chance to remember "good old days" c:
I wanted to add even more details, but then remembered, that it's a sketch 
Btw, Roger isn't even a half as cool as his pose, he's actually shy and clumsy, but yeah, he can pose well.
Funny thing - I firstly picked colours for the uniform and then made the background to match the uniform, not vice versa.
Perspective is one of the hardest things for me to draw, I'm glad you like it in this work!

Of course.
I doubt it, just because with animation the more detail you put on your characters, props, and background the harder it is to keep it all in motion. Therefore you kinda have to be sparing with certain details and keep certain things pretty basic on purpose. (We've been working on actively simplifying certain newer characters for instance).
Indeed, the vehicle definitely looks well done and adds a lot to the scene I think. Also the inspiration definitely shows.
Even for a sketch though it looks good, I wouldn't mind any concept art with this amount of detail from any of my artists.
*** Good that he can strike a pose at least, important for when you need to walk away cool from an explosion while ignoring it. Ha Ha ***
Ah cool, well everything matches up well in the color department I think and it gives the overall image a nice feel (if that makes any sense, kinda getting into subjective observations now).
Yeah the character looks awesome, the vehicle looks a bit low and wide, but I figure with it being a dune buggy type vehicle that's probably the point.
Of course no problem, another excellent piece Illusir. Keep up the great work, I love seeing your characters and concept arts!

One day you'll be a famous animator, hire some more animators, and then you won't need to simplify things and characters anymore, you'll just make awesomeness together!

Yeah he's definitely an interesting character; though I've noticed that he's slowly changing in appearance as you change your drawing techniques, it's interesting to see.
