Description LOOK! NO KITA!

The little gift for Silvixen ! Happy Birthday one more time!

This time I decided to experiment with the method of drawing one more time and to make this drawing look quite quick and sketchy, not sure if I could manage it nicely... I hope I could and you'll like it ^^

Really like the way you did the scruffy fur detail!

Thank you! I tried to experiment here with the fur a bit, I'm glad it turned out nicely c:

This is a very interesting posting from you, this feral is very very well detailed.

I really like the amount of linage in the fur, and how you placed it pretty much from front to back; this must have taken a lot of work and commend you for it.

The proportions, leg design, and sizing balance look really good; this looks almost like a real animal you could encounter. The only thing that seems a bit large is the tail, but honestly I always was fond of overly large tails anyway.

The color looks really good, and the shading definitely helps; though it seems almost like the light source is behind the character and that it's being obscured somewhat; this sort of gives the piece a really dim look overall, and I think some of the shades would probably look better with more of a bright lighting over them.

Awesome job on the face too, this feral is nicely expressive and very cute as well.

Fantastic work on this piece, despite your comment saying that your trying to make it look "quick and sketchy" I think you've managed to include quite a lot of detail in this piece regardless. It may not be as sharp and precise as other pieces you've done, but with hair/fur it doesn't need really precise lines to convey the correct look, it mostly just needs to be the right consistency and have the right blend of color. On this piece I think you've accomplished that.

Great work Illusir, another awesome piece!

Thank you!

Surprisingly this drawing was made quite quickly, it's one of these "easy quick drawings", when I just enjoy the process and don't correct every single sketchy line.

I rarely draw ferals recently, so I'm really glad I could draw proportions nicely after a long break. Btw, his tail is long for a reason - he's a Maned Wolf/Red Panda hybrid, and Red Pandas have quite long and fluffy tails as I remember... And also he has the long tail in his reference sheet

Yeah, the main light source is really behind the character. And maybe you're right about the lighting... Lighting is always tricky for me, I'm still working on it. But I'll try to improve it!

*proudly* Faces for now are my strongest side in drawing! ... Now I only need to learn how to draw other parts of a body! *challenge accepted*

The drawing was quick but turned out not so sketchy

Thank you one more time for the detailed comment! I really appreciate it!

Not a problem at all.

Hmm, well perhaps I can't tell the difference. Usually when I see a drawing put together quickly from other artists it's usually limited perspective or lower detailed overall; with yours I'd say the only different between your slower and faster drawings seems to be how sharp the linage is. (and that's a good thing, it means your fast drawings are still very high quality, at least in my opinion).

Ah ok, it makes sense once you put it in context. I can definitely appreciate the occasional feral, but I'd say their definitely more difficult to get right (which is why I tried to describe in detail why I think this one looks good).

Right, well I just kinda noticed that this character seems to have a lot of lighter and brighter coat colors so perhaps more of a well lit scheme would have accentuated that better. Really its up to you, just a suggestion to take into consideration for future works.

Ha, well your drawing skill with bodies is also very very good. I'd say clothing wise your definitely a master of the craft, one of these days I'm hoping I can eventually commission some kinda uniformed original character from you.

No problem, keep up the good work. I love the pieces you post.

I assume it can be because my fast drawings are made in 2-3 hours usually, sometimes a bit more. And others make them in about 1 hour. My fast drawings are fast just for me, I guess

Yeah, ferals are difficult to draw, especially for me now, when I had a huge break. But there's nothing impossible!

And in opposite to ferals, I draw a lot of uniform lately, so I have practice and eventually get better in it

I'm thinking about "Your character here" type of commissions lately, it looks like they're popular here at the moment. Would you be interested in this kind of commissions? Note to myself - I should make a poll about it I guess...

Yeah, like I said, don't judge the quality of something merely on how long it takes you to make it. I've had some things I spent hours on turn out bad, and other things that I whipped together quickly become unexpectedly popular.

Well I definitely respect that you can do both quite well, that's difficult to do. (I certainly can't ha ha).

Indeed.

Ah those, I'm not sure I like YCH auctions; something about em just rubs me the wrong way, like the commissioner is just getting a placeholder but not really an actual individual piece.

I will say though that YCH's seem to do well, so I wouldn't fault you for doing them, I just wouldn't personally be interested, no.

You might actually cause me to explode some day. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
Not only is it Theyneyro (I need to make him an anthro form one day too) who has probably my favourite design out of all my characters, but look at him all smug and suave and awesome!

You very much succeeded in this new style, and if it means more awesomeness like this you should keep it up.

I owe you something massive... ONE DAY I WILL HAVE THE TIME EVEN IF IT TAKES ME ANOTHER YEAR!

Oh noes! Don't explode, please! You're too cool to explode!

I'm glad I could make you happy with this picture, I had a lot of fun with drawing it ^^ Theyneyro is really interesting to draw and just to look at, it would be awesome to see an anthro version of him!

I'm also glad you like this style I used here! I try to find my style from the beginning of times at the moment and try different tecniques, I hope I'll eventually find something perfect for me

Wow, something massive?.. I guess then I will explode
