I don't know too much about bases, or why exactly people starting drawing them, but from what I understand, they're meant to be used as a dress up model that can be used for different things, so they're not completely finished and just the basic nude figure is finished. Is this right?
It's a cute base; it can probably wear lots of different clothes.
