The Good:

e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Purple"/>The coloring on this is amazing, showing a steady walk into light. Possibly a sunset or sunrise-like setting. This adds much drama to the work and makes you not miss any detailed background that could have been there.

e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Purple"/>Your paws are excellent, almost Disney-esque. Paws can be very hard to master, but you seem to have done so. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="10" height="10" alt="" title="Bullet; Purple"/>You have a GREAT inking style. The variations of weight and tone in the lines add much depth to the piece where depth could have been lost.

The Bad: The bad is the anatomy. You seem to be missing a neck, giving the girl a bit of a stumpy look. These anatomical issues continue with an overly slender upper arm, making the character look a little odd, and the ears are overly large. With practice, all this can be fixed, so you shouldn't be discouraged by that (I know I have been at times!).

Another thing to note is your color choice. The majority of this picture is comprised of warm colors, then you drifted into a mix of REALLY BRIGHT cool colors on the face. This distracts from the rest of the piece due to the extremes. You might want to consider doing duller versions of those colors in situations like this to prevent a distraction.

Over all, very impressive. Color me envious of your skills. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/>

Hey, I really appreciate the feedback. You are totally right about the neck, I can't believe I didn't notice that before. Also, the upper arm being so slender was purposeful, I wanted a big size difference between the "human" and "cat" parts of her arm.

No problem! More than happy to provide critique. Trust me, anatomical issues can be easy to miss when you're actually drawing the piece. x.x; Stepping away for a few days, then coming back often reveals things you didn't notice before.

Interesting thought about showing the difference in the arms. Makes me look at the work at another angle, now that I know.

An interesting take on the creature. Very well drawn. It would have been nice if there was more to the background though Other than that it is really good
