Well, okay it's up to you. I just love Richard's amber eyes, cause in the right light they almost look gold (like lion eyes), and so does his hair. ([link] ) And since Gabriel is portrayed with golden wings sometimes I thought it fit him well, having those colours
But the green looks nice too, it just always comes as a surprise to me whenever I see it like that ^_^
I guess I'm just used to seeing him portrayed with gold eyes
