Pitch reminded me of Loki from the start, and some of the reviews surrounding "Guardians" release said it was like "Avengers for kids."  Avengers came out in the same year too, around six months before Guardians did.  And since Loki has a knack for causing trouble, making a mess, and messing with people's emotions wherever he goes, something Pitch AND Jack do, I rationalized that they were both sons of Loki, albeit from different mothers.  Pitch got his looks and the English accent (I'm going by Tom Hiddleston Loki here.), not to mention a connection to horses (Loki is MOTHER to Slepnir, the eight-legged horse.) as well as unseen/dark magic, i.e. the malevolent side of trickery; Jack got the frost powers, the tendency to shirk duty/act childish, and the generally mischievous side of trickery.

That is a great theory. I knew most of those facts but I never thought of drawing any connections but the way you phrase it makes so much sense Oo
Also Pitch inherited his love for drama it seems >< But now that I think of it they also resemble Lokis change in character somehow. Jack could be his young version before everything in Thor happened and Pitch is his character from the avengers onwards
Still now I'd like to read a fic with Pitch and Frost as Lokis children ><
