I just hate it was controlled, I actually found it quite sad, because in season 4 is actually where I started to like yami because you go deeper into his feelings until he got controlled

Thats where I started when I first started watching it again, I never knew about that season because I only saw up to season 2 when It was on tv all the time back then

I started season 5 when i watched it in the summer yet i never understand much of what it was about i thought it was like pokemon where they had duels with creatures that was the only reason why I watched the show with my friend, because i was also a pokemon fan back then. Yet she tried to explain that the story was way more advanced than that.
So in last march break this girl reintroduced me to Bakura and YGO. And she explained some stuff to me about it, so I basically rewatched the show because of Bakura and to understand the part of their quest and the alter egos.

I love Bakura. But Yami is cool too. 
but Kura is my number one in yugioh, Yami would take 3rd place. it's not the starfish hair, he looks cool. Kura's hair the sticks up looks like demonic bunny ears. XD

ps. the only really ugly characters in yugioh would be that clown dude in season 1 and Weevel Underwood. in my opinion....
