Your concept isn't terrible. True, it might not be terribly well received, but it's there. The execution of the photo could be better, though. It looks average and very scenester profile picture-esque. Maybe go somewhere where there's a good amount of light so you can get a higher quality picture, and try a different angle. You want originality, and frankly, this is the opposite of that.
The texture isn't necessary, either, as everyone else from Complaints has said...

Not a personal attack or anything, but frankly, i think your pictures are kind of boring. You should try using different lights and angles to get more interesting photos.

Grunge overdose, huh? Lately, that's how I've been feeling, listening to a bunch of music (tons of grunge bands).. not being productive at all, and going to sleep at around 2:00 AM everyday! I like the crazy photo, and the concept. Ahaha, Cool!

seeing as how people have had their lip pierced way before the "emo/scene" trend started, im not sure how that classifies it as emo. And yeah, i wear eyeliner for pics because if i dont i usually look tired or something. its not always like that.
and i dont do ANY thing that those people in either of those trends do, even music wise, so im not either of them

Pierced lip and mascara don't necessarily define what an emo is. But these days, anyone who doesn't wear Hollister and has piercings is considered to be an emo so I guess I can see where you're coming from. It seemed to me like the artist was trying to portray the drugged look and wasn't necessarily going for the emo look that everyone is crazed about.
