Description
What's the lady without her dashing Goblin King? Based on a screenshot of him looking all broody in the Escher room. If I can dig up precisely where I found it on the Internet I'll add the URL in here. Done in pencils!Jareth belongs to Jim Henson's very underrated movie of utter magical-ness, Labyrinth.

.....is it sad that I know exactly what scene in the movie this expression takes place? Regardless you did a marvelous job capturing his expression.

afhjbghkjefb! Ahem. Sorry. I tend to speak nothing but gibberish in the presence of His Highness. You portray him...very well...to say the least. I'm quite impressed! I simply love the style of this, and the look...GAH. Granted, any look from him would make me go weak at the knees, but he's just so...wonderful...here.

yes, that was one of my favorite scenes, that rare vulnerable look in his eyes

I envy your sketching abilities. It's such an effortless little piece, but looks exactly like him, immediately recognizable, and his expression is fantastic. Something a little more bemused than that heartbreaking scene. Beautiful.

GORGEOUS.
Ooh, Jareth. *fans self*
This is so great, realistic without being overly detailed.

This piece is completely character with the heavy shadow and rough sketch quality to it. Fantastic Job! And I agree completely, one of the most underrated movies out there. Fave from me!

I love you and your wonderful talent with a pencil.
he couldn't look more beautifully brooding. much love!
I too noticed a certain resemblance to the most imperial Sandman. I don't think they'd get along much, though.

I know! It's always struck me how similar Jareth and Morpheus are...not just in appearance but probably in personality as well. Except Jareth is more flamboyant, but I think he's just as obsessively responsible as Morpheus...and he just won't and can't change for anyone, not even those he loves. God, I love those two men to bitty pieces.

oh, definately more flamboyant. although Morpheus can look really shnazzy when he wants to . which sadly isn't very often. it's one of those things where they're so similar in most ways, but different in ways that would make them not get along. Morpheus might think Jareth too much like Desire or something equally demeaning in his eyes.
but it would be interesting to watch .

Thats some sketch done.
The Goblin King actullay has a name?? O_o One of the rare gems... hmm...add black to the hair and alter the eyes, and he'd look a lot like The Sandman.

That's really true! The spiky hair and the build and attitude are the same...just that the colouration is different.
Yup, he does have a name! Hoggle mentions it once and only once somewhere in the middle of the movie, and Jareth himself does it when he comments on Toby: "Well he's a lively little chap, I think I'll call him Jareth. He's got my eyes." Just trivia!

The Labyrinth was the very FIRST movie I ever watched in a movie theatre. It was my favourite until I watched the Dark Crystal; then they BOTH became my top favourites and have remained so until this day.
Nice work there... David Bowie made an excellent Goblin King.

That movie was awesome...! A good example of what a Muppet can do...
By the way, Have you seen the Dark Crystal...?

Indeedy I have! But somehow I prefer Labyrinth...I think I'm just biased toward the Bowie-in-fetching-fae-costumes-loving-be autifully-prepubescent-brunette factor.

That's one of the best summaries of Labyrinth I've found, I think!
And the sketch is really, really good.
