hehehThis is kinda old, but...
I couldn't help myself XD
There was a semi-fresh roadkill on the side of the road (it was a day or two old), and there were vultures just flocking around it. After passing it a few times, I just had to pull over and get a pic before leaving the area for college.
Yes, I'm used to buzzards/vultures all over the place. They really clean the roads quite nicely, and are wonderful soar-ers~
Anyway, I got a shot of 3 vultures by themselves on the fence, and what comes to mind automatically now?

Just head out to a southern locale and I'm sure you'll find them around somewhere, during the warmer months anyway. I'm in the Chihuahuan desert myself, though they still tend to head off during winter.

Dread personified. They've left for the season now, but don't worry, come the first warm breath of Spring they will return, like the stench of rotting meat in your freezer after the power's been out for three days.
Ugh. I HATE them. They nest in my neighbor's trees by the dozens, circling the house so low and lazily over head you could practically swat them out of the sky with a broom if you cared.
Other towns get robins, or daffodils, or even swallows. We get turkey vultures. Blech.
