This is the first image in months that I actually like!
Lately I've had the problem that I feel like I've never been better at making art yet never disliked my own creation as much as I've do now. This piece was so much fun and somehow I ended up really liking the result!
I call it "Spontaneous" because it was a very spontaneous work. I came up with this idea on my way home from the bus station after school last monday and then I just went ahead and did it without doing any thumbnails for it or anything. The first idea was to have it with an all blue colour scheme but then I came up with the idea of having those fire balls circle around the character (which by the way is my fursona, who I very rarely draw), as I wanted more of a fantasy look and then I started adding fire on that glass looking ground as well.
So yeah. Stay spontaneous!

I believe most of us go through a stage where we dislike our own creations. Now, almost a year after posting creating this I see that the reason I didn't like my art for a while was because my eye had gotten better why my hand hadn't kept up as well as I had expectations that I couldn't live up to.
What helped me get over this was to collect new information (through various books and internet resources) and learning more! I highly suggest the same if you are struggling too, I promise that this will help!

I almost stoped drawing some weeks ago but now im starting to get more active again and practicing more. Ofcause its good when you get motivated from disliking your stuff while i only got drepressend and didnt drew two months. Having a teacher would also help me a lot i guess but i dont have anyone who has time and will to take care of the little utalented rahuto woofie ;'D

Why get one teacher when you can get multiple? I'd highly recommend asking around for feedback from some artists you follow and friends. I've done that before and it helps tremendously as well as it gives you an opportunity to make some new acquaintances! If you ask 20 different people of different skill levels you are bound to get a few helpful pointers as well as tips and resources!

It's a very beautiful piece!Β
I like how this consists of sort of simple background with detailed character and elements.Β
I find the pixel-ish look of the sky a lot. (lol if it's just my computer, sry) The fire and the gas also look very interesting!
And it's always a plus side if you enjoyed drawing this yourself!
