You had a dream that night.
You dreamt that you were in a maze, trying to get out.

Wherever you looked there would be a mirror, but the strange thing was the scales on your face were missing.

You still had the scales on your hands, but you were wearing black gloves. Besides the gloves, the only thing you were wearing your usual ragged dress.

You wanted to get out of this maze, but it seemed as if it was impossible to get out.

This is what life was like for you; you were trapped in reality. You liked to daydream about your own fantasy. In your fantasy you were normal. You had freinds, you lived with your parents, you were wanted.

In the middle of your dream you saw a boy somewhere near a dead end. You ran after him to see who it was, but he was gone once you reached him. Who was that boy?

You awoke with the bright sun in your face.

You have never seen this light in so long. Where are you?

Your eyes slowly got used to this light. But then your eyes widened.

You sat in a queen-sized bed. The bed took up the majority of the room.

You heard whispering outside of the room; You decided to get out your bed and listen.

When you got out the bed, you noticed you were wearing a dress. Nothing too fancy, just a black dress with a white ribbon at your stomach. It was fancier than what you usually wore, of course. You went up to the wooden door and put your ear to it.

"Why did you bring her here," a young, but strong voice said, "We don't need her."

"Young master, we actually do need a made here. Things have been a bit gloomy in here since... The incident with Elizabeth." he began. " And, you wouldn't leave a lady sleeping in the rain, would you?"

You took your ear off the door.

That explained why you were here. But who was Elizabeth?

You decided to go back to bed and wait for them to come to you.

Not too long after you sat in bed, a gentle knock hit the door, and he let himself in.

Who you assumed was a butler came in with a slight smirk on his face.

"Hello, milady. Would you be so kind as to follow me?"

You did as you were told and got out of bed.

He led you out to the room to a long hallway. He stopped when he reached a large door.

He knocked on the door and let himself in.

In the room was a young boy who you assumed was your age, behind a desk.

Infront of his desk was a chair.

"Take a seat."

You did as you were told.

The young boy looked over to his butler, making him leave the room.

"Tell me, how did you get those... scales..?"

You hesitated for a second; you forgot how to speak for a second.

But, the words slowly came out.

"...I...don't know..."

He nodded.

"Do you have a home?"

"No..."

"Then consider this your home."

Your eyes widened.

Your heart stopped.

Did he just say that?!
