Description
Dear Lord, thank you for cars. They’re amazing.
-----
Supercars trace their origins to the 80s, a time when the automotive industry focused on cheaper sports cars or luxurious grand tourers. In 1983, Kusunoki of Japan had just introduced the technological wonder that was the Kusunoki Suzerain, and for years now the absolutely ludicrous and impractical Caltabiano Auroch had been the poster car of the times. Other countries had taken notice, with Germany, Britain, and even the United States producing top-of-the-line cars on the same caliber as Italy and Japan. But the performance cars of the day weren’t “pure”, according to Rinaldo, Teobaldo, and Giuliano Tarantino.
In response, the three executives of Tarantino S.p.A. commissioned a supercar that emphasized driver skill and feedback above all else, with virtually no assists and no groundbreaking technology—a car that went back to the basics of what made performance cars so great. Lightness was a key feature of the Superberlinetta’s development: Tarantino’s engineering teams employed significant amounts of aluminum and Kevlar compounds, as well as prohibitively expensive (at the time) carbon fiber for some body panels. The car’s chassis and drivetrain were sourced from “Progetto 58”—an experimental rally car that Tarantino canceled due to budget cuts—because of their durability and lighter weight, while the suspension setup from Tarantino’s winning Racesport 3 entries was modified to be less stiff for cruising and street use. The attention to lightness also shows in the details (lighter screws and bolts were used wherever possible) and the interior, which only has a basic air conditioner and heater. Thanks to a revised exhaust manifold setup, an increased displacement, and other general revisions, the ever-venerable and ever-screaming T47-TR V12 put out 512 brake horsepower at 6400 RPM, and reached a redline of about 8000 RPM.
Among its adversaries, the Tarantino Superberlinetta became notorious for its unforgivingly difficult handling. No traction control and no anti-lock brakes meant that if you didn’t know this car’s limits, you’d spin out. The Superberlinetta commands perfection from its drivers, and the few who can handle it masterfully are celebrities among Tarantino fans, for good reason: in the right hands, the 33-year-old Italian masterpiece can still stand toe-to-toe with the high-powered muscle cars and sports cars of today. On top of its excellent performance, the Superberlinetta has several Racesport and rally titles to its name, as well as the proper timing; it’s considered one of the first supercars ever, and it’s also a car from the beloved 1980s period of the automotive industry. Small wonder, then, that the Tarantino Superberlinetta is one of the most famous cars in history.

Still with me after that wall of text? Good, because I’ve got more stuff to tell you.
Welcome to the first entry for Shoyuwave Version 1.0! Here's a journal explaining the project.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever tried to draw different angles for a mashup. Normally, I’d make a car, go “that was fun”, and then never revisit it, but this time I decided to do two different angles. Speaking of revisiting, this is Minerva’s favorite car of all time, so I might draw her cruising or chilling with a Superberlinetta somewhere down the line.
lighting is still my biggest enemy

If you actually made it through this description, have a bowl of ramen. You really earned it.

You'll have to play Eurobeat on a portable player; this car lacks audio equipment. The inability to play Eurobeat is the Superberlinetta's greatest weakness
