Onix is the largest pokΓ©mon you will find in the Kanto region. It is nearly 50 feet tall and has strength to spare. It is very strong against most elements, except for water. Onix are rather quick despite their massive size and weight. Their top speed is when they burrow underground. They are most famous for their ability to bide their opponents attacks as they wrap their long bodies around them, crushing them. You know, I always loved Onix, there was just something about it I loved. The name "Onix" just feel intimidating.

Onix, Mewtwo and Charizard are my top 3 favorites. Onix was so much fun to do. Originally, I made him look a lot more like a snake, but I thought, "No, he's too snake-looking and less onix-looking." So I gave him very jagged facial features that could easily blend in to rocks he might hide among. And I decided to make his bands very thick and not actually rocks.
