Page 39: The sun begins to set, and the team gives up their search. Loki is not angry at Holly, but asks her if she can remember anything. Holly says that there is a gap in her memory, extending from her watching the stone to her lying next to Sybil. Loki deduces that the stone must have put her under a trance, but a stone based solely on mutation should not have that power. The only theory Loki can make is that a bit of Mephisto's will must still reside in that stone, since it does absorb the essence of those it was attached to...
