The only penguin that I see that is missing is the white-flippered penguin unless that penguin goes by a different name lol I still can't get over how fantastic your penguins are!  I'm actually learning about Antarctica in Geography now

I think the reason it has a different name is because it has white markings on its flippers [hence the name "white-flippered"], except I don't think it has been determined if that is just a color morph that makes it visually different from the little/fairy penguin or if it is actually a subspecies of the little penguin.
But from what I understand they are both considered the same species: Eudyptula minor. So yeah, I guess that is kind of why I decided to only use the little penguin. I also didn't include any that were extinct.
And thank you again. I was so excited about this project. It was a diversity project for my first-year biology course and I knew immediately that I wanted to do penguins. I also knew that I wanted to do something creative since the uni/college I am at doesn't have a huge selection of courses [as in there aren't any art options-so upsetting] and since I am in the sciences I don't have a lot of time outside of class and studying to work on art. Thus, being able to do a project for a science class that also allowed me to be creative was amazing.
Unfortunately there weren't any creative projects this year. I guess some chem labs are "creative"... a different kind of creative.
But I would love to go see little penguins. The little penguin is definitely one of my favorites. Their size probably contributes a fair bit to that.   Also Gentoo penguins.
Maybe in the future [distant future, sadly] I shall pay a trip to Australia or New Zealand! A trip to Antarctica would be amazing too. So many places. But so expensive.

I kind of figured that was the reason you didn't draw the white-flippered penguin, but I was curious anyways.  I've always had a fascination with all animals.  I would wake up in the morning when I was little and read the many Zoobooks that we owned.  I would go to the library and check out a dozen books about various animals, cats especially.  I never played with dolls in my youth, it was always stuffed and plastic animals.  Now I've grown up quite a bit and decided that I'm in love with art and that animals and art can easily coexist.  I'm not in college yet, but I know that I want to do something involving art in my life.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. This week consisted of exams. One more to go on Wednesday! Anyway...
My art teacher in high school was definitely disappointed that I wasn't going to be going to an art university.
But I decided that I wanted to do art as a hobby and not as a job [I also have a hard time parting with my artwork...as in I still have projects and art from before and during elementary, junior high and high school].
At first I wanted to be a vet, but changed my mind. However, I still want to work with animals, hence me taking biological sciences [I figured it would be an alright first step].
So at this current moment I have no set future goal in mind. But a quote that fits my situation well: "If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which path you take" [from Alice in Wonderland! yay!] And I do believe that God has a plan for us all, even if it is a bit difficult at times. Which is indeed the case due to being stressed out quite often. I just hope all this stress is worth it in the end. It is definitely not always easy.
But it is good that you have a general idea of what you want to do in the future!

&I always played with stuffed animals as well! Haha. I have never gotten rid of one! Still have all of them scattered in different spots in my room [majority being on my top bunk]. I have a massive beanie boo collection as well-which scares my boyfriend and his brother, and my brother [muhaha ] ...because they don't like the size of the eyes.

Lol!  I keep mine under my bed except my okapi.  I don't really pull them out except when younger children come over to my house.  It's a lovely alternative to letting them tangle up all the marionettes I own.  Yes, I agree that God has a plan for everyone.  I don't know where I'm headed but I believe that wherever I end up will be just exactly where I'm supposed to be.
