Ugh, I;ve had this one done for some time but i just couldn't think of entries and names for them x__x Hokay----------------------------------------------------
Water: Ferlet- The Slip Pokemon
Ferlet's fur hides little droplets that keep it's body slick and slippery. This enables them to wiggle out of trouble's grasp or into a tight burrow to hide in.
Water: Soalutr- The Guard Pokemon
Soalutrs stay in groups to protect each other from danger. They stand on their hind legs to feel vibration in the air, which bounce off their thin webbed whiskers. They are seen to slide on their smooth stomachs and use their tails to steer.
Water/Dark: Voraqua- The Muscled Pokemon
These pokemon have no fear in putting up a fight. Their thick coat act as an armor and their mighty paws can cause a powerful hit to any who dares fight it. In the water, they propel quickly with the help of their strong tail.

And Soalutr sounds like one of your fail typos, or Feraligatr (Which was named that only because of the 10-character limit for Pokemon names)

Hmm, it's tough. I like my own style, but I feel Sugimori fakemon get more views and are generally more liked. I guess you just have to find a balance.

I draw the bodies in my style and just do sugimori eyes. it seems to work okay.

I found a page on deviant art where an artist redrew all of the Sugimori pokemon eyes used and I just look at those for references. Although not all of mine have sugimori eyes.
