Yup, the photo was taken on the 45th floor of Tokyo Metropolitan Government building which gives some pretty impressive views of the city [link]

Thanks, glad you liked it. I used a Canon 500d and 10-22mm EFS lens to take the shot. They don't allow tripods up in the observation deck so held the camera against the window with one hand while holding my other arm over the lens to prevent reflections. It required a 4s exposure with the setting I was using so took a bit of practice to get a shot that wasn't too blurred : )
