You could view it that way. Here is some detail on how it works:
The original mods were girls in their outfits which you can see here: (RELEASE) BUNNY PACK
I then removed meshes for the shoes, skin, cuffs, and other accessories by using a tool called LR Photo Studio.
I provided invisible head and hair files, to make the head/hair invisible. (Head and hair have separate files from the rest of the model.)
Finally, I replaced the texture files for the bodysuit and tights with uniform beige and suntan colored textures.
As far as the game is concerned, the full "skeleton" (aka "bones") is still there. So the characters' interaction is unaltered.
However, the arms, shoulders, head & hair, and the skin of the legs are all invisible.
The game still "thinks" the body is there. It is just a see-through body.
