Perhaps it's just a personal thing of mine. I love seeing the bigness of an image and its intricate details, that's what makes it for me for most images
But do only you want, of course. =]

no no, you're right of course, i hadn't realised they were getting smaller.
guess I was being concious of theft but i have my watermark anyway...

Yeah, as long as you've got a watermark in there you should be all set... I sometimes incorporate a really small and subtle watermark so most people can't see it, but if you ever had to prove an image was yours you could just up the contrast if pointing it out doesn't work.
