Description
The destruction of an empire with the fall of Midgar, but the old ghosts linger. High above the cityscape he watches, knowing his Midgar died long before Meteor descended and laid waist to the triumphs of man.This was a surprisingly spontaneous project of mine. I received some calligraphy markers for Christmas and was compelled to try to shade with them. I started drawing Vincent, and before he was even finished I began coloring. He was overlooking something⦠and it became clear to me that it was Midgar after the fall of Meteor. It seems fitting that Vincent would haunt the ruins of his old life as a Shinra Turk.

I love this...I mean Vincent is good but the ruins of Midgar is just awesome. So much detail...I love it. wires and RUST! I LOVE THE RUST!

I think this is great. The coloring of the background is a little bit uneven, but it doesn't even matter much to me - Vincent is so great here... I like this pic a lot.

I agree, Vincent really is the best thing in this pic. The background was hard because I had a very limited range of colors, about 12 markers (and of those 3 were shades of red and only 1 was green. You can tell what my priority was...)

LOL Yes, I think I can. I saw that it was markers, and as I said, even the background is good enough - it's just that Vinnie is better, s'all. Welp, it's now in my faves gallery to stare at it every time I want to, so thank YOU for putting it up.
