this is a random coincidence funnily enough, as I was simply making up a futuristic rank and had drawn this before I read the doom novels.

Well, coincidence or not, you got it right. I like how the armor is sort of a fusion between the Doom 3 style with a few nuances and head-nods to the original dooms (like the UAC symbol, for example) that was intuitive. Again, I don't know if it was pure luck, but I'm grateful it was, if that was the case.
