Oops, seems I forgot to upload this print. I attempted to make this one much more colorful compared to its drab, earlier version. I definitely like the witch and hunter better in this one. Also the spitter was fun.Related content

excellent, witch and Smoker especially! Only thing I could ever change is the Jockey's facial expression. It looks evil. I'd make it more manic-happy to fit his character. Not that he's bad that way, either. Creepy little fuck. Oh, wait, one more thing. Hunters don't have eyes.

Either way, in my defense, generally accuracy of content comes second hand to aesthetics and composition when it comes to print making. Or I'm just to lazy to do all my homework!

Yes, it's on the model. And they hunt with smell, hearing, and, believe me here, echolocation. You know that strange scream they do when they jump? Yeah.

Yeah, there's lots of stuff, like (this one is kinda obvious, but NO one seems to realize it) The Spitter was a prostitute before she changed. She's one big sex joke. You know, Long Necked Spitter...and The Boomer wasn't very fat before he changed, the Smoker had cancer, etc. I found this all out on the Left 4 Dead Wikia, and just from playing the game.

I'm just saying, a lot of left 4 dead fans here on dA, seem to base their opinions on fan speculation. But this is just what I've seen really. But I guess Fanon > Canon is common in any fandom. I've been told before that I haven't done this right, or that is not correct by people who believe the Fanon to be true, which is odd seeing as I'm mostly a Canon person.

You're still being vague. Are you trying to tell me I was wrong about the Hunter? Cause that's what I last said to you. This isn't fan speculation. It's a pretty well known fact by anyone who gives even the smallest fuck about L4D/2. The Hunter has no eyes. He's completely blind. If you look at him in game, there's just red holes.

It's true, the hunter does have blood around his eyes, but they appear like a shiny black. Well, as far as I could tell from the screenshot on L4D wiki.
But that shouldn't make us think that the Hunter has no eyes, maybe the hunter's eyes bled alot during infection, and Valve couldn't be assed with the Hunter's eyes, like they did with Common's.
May or may not be true. Valve have not really said why.
Maybe Valve couldn't of been assed with the Hunter's eyes and their screech could be to induce fear into its prey, or it can be that they use echolocation. We really do not know.
Just my thought on things.

What do you mean Valve couldn't be assed to do whatever with the Common's eyes? Did you not notice they shine in the dark, like a cats? And the Hunters "eyes" are not shiny black. They are just red mounds.

In the Valve commentary, one of the people of Valve commented that they left the Common's eyes white. That was L4D 1 though, and I know they added a shine in L4D2, but that only seems to work when the light is on, oddly.
As for the eyes, they don't seem like red mounds. Maybe my monitor is going funny. But they definitely appeared as black mounds or whatever you like to call them, in that screen shot of the Hunter's eyes.

I'm looking at it now. It's brown. But I can see how you'd think it's black. But the color really doesn't matter, because those are not eyes. That's a bloody mess. If you read the wiki I assume you got the picture from, it says right there that he has no eyes. Why are you arguing this?

Oh, I'm not arguing it, I'm just saying my thoughts about it. Even though they may not appear as eyes, colour wise, but they could be eyes still, but, you know, they don't appear as eyes. I think the problem is that the wiki itself says that there are no eyes without accepting other possibilities, and, as a result, people came to believe there are no eyes, seeing as the wiki is for information about L4D. But that doesn't mean all Hunter's don't have eyes, maybe some Hunter's don't have eyes whilst over do. There's only one skin in L4D afterall.
To be honest, we really do not know, only Valve knows for sure. The Hunter does or doesn't have eyes, only Valve knows, like I just said.

I assume the wiki says "he has no eyes" because he has no eyes. And in the comic, they showed a shirt less Hunter with atrophied, pure white eyes. Blind.

The Common Infected have white eyes too, yet they can still see you, and they definitely do not use echolocation as they don't screech, although they do mutter and make raging noises whilst attacking.
The Hunter could be blind and uses echolocation, due to his screeching. But he could also be not blind, and his screeching is just used to scare his prey, like I've stated before.
I think a lot of it is up to debate and speculation. Like why the Witch cries, why does she? Nobody knows, and a lot of people make reasons why. After all, there's no reason for a Hunter to have eyes/not be blind and screech. I would most definitely fear a Hunter that can see and screeches instead of a Hunter that's blind and uses echolocation, just stay out of the Hunter's way and he won't detect you I believe.
But anyway, if that's your opinion/what you believe to be true, then stick by it, because I'm open to both. I just wish more people would consider the other option, so it's not one sided.

You assume it's easier to avoid a Hunter that can't see? He would be able to smell and hear you.
Besides. None of this changes the fact that the Hunter doesn't have any eyes. Working eyes or broken eyes is regardless. There is just no eyes, period.

I believe your being very biased. I don't think you've been taking in what I'm trying to say. Eyes or no, mounds or no, whatever, only Valve knows the real answer to all of this. If you believe the Hunter has no eyes, than so be it. It's what you believe and I won't try and force another opinion down your throat.

It's not really an opinion to look at the Hunter's eye holes and say "Yup. There's no eyes in there." You're making this out to be some big mystery when it's not. There's no eyes. I can look and see that. And the fact it's supported by 80% of the community helps too.

I'm not making it out to be some big mystery, I'm just sharing my thoughts and other possibilities. The community supports it only because it was the first theory/possibility about the Hunter's so called lack of eyes.
But there always have to be some people who are always awkward, totally blind by other's thoughts.
If you believe the Hunter has no eyes, then so be it. I'm open to both reasonable sides and declare this closed, before this starts to get out of hand. I respect your opinion, after all, there is no stopping people from believing Hunter's have no eyes, and I certainly won't.

I think your trying to force your belief down my throat. I was just trying to explain another possibility, but you seemed to keep rejecting it.
If I DID sound like that, I'll be saying that the Hunter has eyes, and everyone else saying he doesn't I would shrug off as their opinion. The Hunter's ingame model lacking eyes and screeching making it use echolocation or not, whether or coincidental or incidental, I'm open to both sides, besides, I'm too busy blasting Hunters in midair with a shotgun to stop and notice. If people wanna believe it or not, then that's up to them, I hold no ill will to either. But there's no stopping people from thinking the Hunter does have eyes but is blind, unlike gouging them out like other people believe.
If you have any sense of decency, then you would agree with me that this case is closed, because for all we know, we both could be wrong. Just saying.

True true, the Hunter could have no eyes, and maybe I'll believe that someday. But there is no reason to draw Hunters with eyes, right? In an attempt to make them more scary? Like bloodshot eyes or so.
