With the help of cypritree <3 , conceptart members and deviant members(thank you all), I finally fixed up my Yorda picture. Took out all those things that were bothering me. Damn imbalances, bad contrast weird shapes...all that fun. Gave it more of a sureal look...hoping that she'd fit a bit better into her surroundings. I still have one problem...too much vertical and horizontal, not enough diagonal. Also got little lazy with the water since my research was going badly...so I tried to make up for it but going nutso on the grass O_@ ~!!Hopefully everyone likes the improvements and prefers this one over the original. Enjoy!

Hi! ^^ I'm the girl who came by on the last day of Anime North 06, asked to make sure the character was Yorda, got the small print of this piece, and asked you to sign and put your website on it XD (yeah, I know that is so descriptive and helpful - I'm sure you had tons of people do that too XD;; ) I wanted so badly to get the big version but I had no way of getting it home without damaging it to some extent ;__;
This is such a gorgeous piece, with amazing mood and such a simple, soft elegance about it, perfectly evoking the magic of the game. And your grass blows me away XD (I hate painting grass!) Thank you for sharing it with us!

Unfortunately there isn't any room in my actual room to put it either, so it would have had to stay in a box or rolled up for ages :[ But I'm still happy I was able to get a print of it, even a little one ^^
I hope you'll both be able to come to AN Artist Alley next year too!

I hate painting grass too!! But for some reason that grass was fun O_o.
We were rolling/wrapping the big prints up =x not the greatest pertection but better than nothing. I was thinking of getting a deviant art print account if I can pull the money together...we'll see we'll see!

I really like the warmer tones a lot. The grass looks very good, too. The horizon on the water looks a little harsh, though... Maybe just soften it by blending with sky tones... if you every work on it again.

I kinda took care of that. In the print version I curved and blended the horizon line a bit...and it does look better. Maybe I should post that one up =x

Incredible to think so, but uh huh, it does look better. It became more vibrant and still remains somehow like a dream scene due to the soft luminosity of her glowingish body and the contrasty scenery.

Oh, that's gorgeous. I love the way the strokes look - it makes it look like an actual painting, and not a digital one. I think the sky is definitely my favourite.
