I honestly wouldn't have thought that. This is really good - I especially like the hair, the emotion invoked through... You, I'm guessing? Maybe you were trying to depict how you feel about whatever's been bothering you lately. But like you said, you gotta keep going and drawing and thinking of other things asides from resolving the problem

First off, I think both the concept to this illustration and the way it turned out are just stunning.
Very emotional drawing, you can really feel the pain when looking at it. The idea of leaving half the face in the shadows is gorgeous to increase the impact of this picture!

Secondly... meh, it sucks to hear you're having such a tough time at the moment.
I'm hoping that, whatever is going on right now, it will all work out for you and better times are close ahead!
