Description
The house was empty, but not quiet.
The sound of claws on wood was only accompanied by the sizzling and cracking of fire.
Kia was home alone.
At least...that's what she kept telling herself.
"MOM! INWIEN!!! ANYONE!!!" Kia screamed, racing around the house. She needed to make sure no one else was in the house!
She could feel the heat of the fire growing. Her fear grew and she ran like the wind, searching for some way out.
This was her house! She knew where the door was!
But as she turned the corner, all she saw was another closed room.
Kia gasped, then coughed harshly. The smoke was making it hard to breath. And though she couldn't smell it, her nose burned as she tried to breath.
"I've, gotta, get out of here!" She gasped, running down the hall again.
She had to get out of here somehow! But no matter which way she ran, she could find no exit. The fire grew larger, and the ceiling was slowly being covered with black smoke.
Kia wanted to hyperventilate, but she could barley find the breath to keep running. She hacked and gagged as she searched desperately for some way out.
Suddenly, a black figure could be seen approaching through the fire.
Kia couched and squinted her eyes to try and see them.
The figure kept advancing, then suddenly launched a Kia.
The wyngling let out a screech of surprise and collapsed to the ground with someone holding her down. Her eyes shot open with fear. She couldn't move! She was trapped!
"You're not going anywhere!" A harsh voice spat, sounding as though it was coming from the fire itself.
Kia gasped and trembled.
"You're staying right here! TO BURN WITH US!"
The fire crept closer, and Kia could feel the flames licking at her ears.
Blind with fear, Kia ripped her arm away and slashed at whoever was holding her down.
But all she heard, was Inwien cry out in pain.
